Under the umbrella of WWF & Environment society and volunteerism, community service society, RMC accepted the trashtag challenge by TMUC, DHA Campus. The Millennial Student Governance Body made arrangements and went for a beach cleanup activity at Clifton beach on Saturday, 30 th March’19. During the cleanup, students were astounded to find some leather jackets, shoes, plastic bags, and cans at the sea shore and realized how this is harming not only the marine life but also putting a toll on the echo system of our planet. Few of the students collected some sea shells to keep it at home as decoration pieces. After cleaning up, RMC challenged Islamabad to clean their city.
The beach cleaning started early in the morning soon after the sun rise, students enjoyed the healthy routine of getting up early, cleaning up the litter of their land, the sun exposure got them Vitamin D, recreational activity of horse riding. In the end, beach cleaning was followed by a breakfast at sea view McDonald’s.
