The College Academic council shall consist of all the full time Professors of the college.
The Principal of the college shall be the Chairman of the council.
The next senior professor to the Principal will act as Vice Chairman and Staff President. In the absence of the Chairman, he will preside over the council meeting.
The second senior most professor will act as Honorary Secretary of the council.
To determine the requirements of medical education in the light of policy directions of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and concerned University.
To discuss ways and means to improve the standard of medical education and facilities pertaining to their respective institutions.
To lay down a general plan for the implementation of medical education policy including curriculum and syllabus for students, distribution of duties of teaching staff, college terms, vacations etc. and also to discuss other matters connected with the curricular activities of the college.
To assist the Principal in administrative matters of the college and in matters of discipline amongst the staff and students.
To lay down policy for awards, scholarships, fee concessions etc.
To supervise medical research at the institution.
To help in the development of the college library.
To consider any question referred to it by Government or any educational authority and report its opinion or recommendation in regard thereto.
